Abstract

A survey on rust fungi of graminicolous plants (Family Graminae) from several parts of Thailand was conducted during 1984 to 1990. Morphological characteristics of various spore types were observed under compound and scanning electron microscopes. Rust fungi encountered in this investigation included 3 genera and 23 species as follows: Dasturella bambusina, Puccinia chaetochloae, P. cynodontis, P. levis, P. melanocephala, P. microspora, P. miscanthi, P. nakanishikii, P. neyraudiae, P. oahuensis, P. operta, P. polliniae, P. polysora, P. purpurea, P. recondita, P. rufipes, P. substriata, P. versicilor, P. zoysiae, Uromyces clignyi, U. dactyloctenii, U. schoenanthi, and U. setariae-italicae.
