Walking Type Green Whole Stalk Sugarcane Harvester

Abstract

Walking type green whole stalk sugarcane harvester was fabricated, having total weight of 720 kg, total length of 4,330 mm, rear wheel width of 1,200 mm and total width of 2,250 mm. Eight horsepower diesel engine was used as the power source. The local made two wheel hand tractor transmission gear was used for traveling function. The clutch was attached for separating the travel transmission system and other transmission systems such as to the feeding mechanism, cutter blade and delivery mechanism. The hydraulic system was used for leveling the frame of the harvester and cutter blade. The harvester forward speed is 14.2 m/min while the engine speed is 1,800 rpm. which has the field capacity performance of 0.8 rai/hr or harvesting capacity of 10 t/hr as the average production 12.5 t/rai is considered by having 1.30 m row to row plantation.
