Marine Algae of Coral Reef I Description of the Species Reported as New Records for Thailand

Abstract

Details of nine species of marine algae from five localities of coral reef in Thai territorial waters which had been reported as new records for Thailand are described. The reported species consist of one brown alga : Dictyopteris polypodioides, and eight species of red algae : Galaxaura arborea, Halymenia maculata, Cheilosporum jungermannioides, Ceramium fimbriatum, Martensia flabelliformis, Myriogramme bombayensis, M. carnea and Vanvoorstia spectabilis.
