Abstract

Hybrid of Clarias macrocephalus Gunther and Pangasius sutchi Fowler had been successfully developed, however survival rate of the hybrid was considerably low. Diseases of this hybrid were investigated during the first year of their life spans. There were 2 major diseases found in the hybrid which were caused by parasitic and bacterial infection. Treatments of choice for parasitic infection were formalin and dipterex : oxytetracycline and nitrofurazone for bacterial infection.
