Design and Compression of Thai Words in Dictionary for Spelling Check

Abstract

The Thai Electronic Dictionary is the collection of morphological, syntactic and semantic information of languages. This research report presents the design and development of machine readable dictionary. The proposed dictionary is designed for easy and efficient utilization by several accessing methods. This research also introduces 3 algorithms of data compression. The results of the compression are about 100 : 38.38 for Table – Table – Linear Search Algorithms, 100 : 48.27 for Table – Index Search Algorithm and 100 : 42.00 for Tree Structure. The proposed system also allows the user to manipulate and to modify by adding, and editing.
