Effects of Water Depth on Survival of Catfish Hybrids
Abstract
Experiment of the effects of water depth on the survival of catifish hybrids (C. macrocephalus xP. sutchi) of newly hatched larvae and fry was carried out at Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries, Kasetsart University during the period of June to October 1983. Five pairs of fully mature fish spawner of either Clarias of pangasius weighing between 200-300 and 1,200-2,000 gm respectively, were used and the hormone injections method was employed. Eggs of Clarias were used to mix with milt of Pangasius and the eggs of Pangasius were also used to mix with milt of Clarias.
