A Property of Hurwitz Functions.

Abstract

Consider those Hurwitz functions which are solutions of algebraic differential equations. We find that modulo a minor restriction, if all coefficients of such a function belong to a finite set, then they are periodic, and the function also satisfies a linear differential equation. The main tool used is a Kakeya’s generalization of a theorem of Fujiwara.
