Knowledge, Attitude, Practice and Obstacles for the Compliance of Private Dormitory Standards among Private Dormitory Personnel in Mueang Si Kai Sub-district Municipality, Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract
This research is a descriptive study aiming to study knowledge, attitude, practice and obstacles for the compliance of private dormitory standards and to analyze factors related to compliance level towards private dormitory standards among private dormitory personnel in Mueang Si Kai sub-district municipality, Warin Chamrap district, Ubon Ratchathani province. A questionnaire was used to collect information about knowledge, attitude, practice and obstacles in complying with private dormitory standards from 103 private dormitory personnel. The results demonstrated that most private dormitory personnel had a high level (Mean = 0.95, SD = 0.09), a good level (Mean = 4.57, SD = 0.46), a good level (Mean = 0.80, SD = 0.14) and a low level (Mean = 0.15, SD = 0.33) of knowledge, attitude, practice and obstacles for the compliance of private dormitory standards, respectively. Factors significantly related to compliance level towards private dormitory standards were education level, awareness of news and information related to dormitory standards, dormitory type, knowledge of facility standards and attitude towards safety standards (p-value = 0.001, 0.026, 0.048, 0.042, and <0.001, respectively). Based on this study, relevant local agencies should consider continuous promotion of knowledge and understanding for dormitory personnel to better comply with private dormitory standards.
