Development of Analytical Thinking Ability through the Integration of the 7E Learning Cycle Model and the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge Framework (TPACK) in Statistics for Biological Research
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this research were to 1) compare students’ analytical thinking ability and learning achievement before and after the implementation of the learning management plans based on the 7E learning cycle integrated with the technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) framework for the statistics course for biological research; and 2) investigate students’ satisfaction with the 7E–TPACK integrated learning management in the statistics course for biological research. The sample group used in this research consisted of 19 third-year undergraduate students majoring in Biology program, Faculty of science, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, who were enrolled in the statistics course for biological research during the second semester of the academic year 2025. The participants were selected using purposive sampling. The research instruments included 1) TQF 3: Course Specification based on the 7E learning cycle integrated with TPACK; 2) an analytical thinking ability test; 3) a learning achievement test; and 4) a student satisfaction questionnaire. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and t-test for dependent samples. The results revealed that 1) students’ analytical thinking ability and learning achievement after learning using the 7E–TPACK integrated learning management were significantly higher than those before learning at the .05 level of significance; and 2) students’ satisfaction with the 7E–TPACK integrated learning management was at the highest level, with a mean score of 4.56.
