Editor Ethics

           1. Oversight and Quality Assurance: The editor is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and evaluating the journal's operations to ensure that it meets its objectives, maintains the quality of research and scholarly work, adheres to international ethical publishing standards, and prevents conflicts of interest among editors, staff, authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial board.

           2. Confidentiality: The editor must maintain the confidentiality of all authors and reviewers throughout the review process. The Thai Forestry Journal employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure anonymity.

           3. Plagiarism Prevention: The editor must ensure that all published articles are original and free of plagiarism. A plagiarism detection tool, such as Copycatch all in ThaiJo2.0, will be used to screen all submissions. If a significant level of plagiarism is detected, the editor will immediately contact the corresponding author to request an explanation and decide whether to reject the manuscript.

  • Accepted Manuscripts: Accepted manuscripts will be sent to the corresponding author for proofreading. The author will be informed of the publication schedule.
  • Rejected Manuscripts: Rejected manuscripts will be returned to the author along with reviewers' comments to assist in revisions and potential submission to other suitable journals.

           4. Conflict of Interest: The editor must avoid any conflicts of interest with authors and reviewers to maintain the highest ethical standards.

           5. Transparency and Accountability: The editor must be transparent about the peer review process and be prepared to explain any deviations from the established procedures.

           6. Retraction: If misconduct is discovered after publication, the editor must promptly retract the article and provide clear evidence to support the retraction. This retraction must be communicated to readers and other indexing databases.

           7. Finality of Decisions: Once a decision has been made to reject a manuscript, the editor must not reverse that decision unless there is compelling evidence of a serious error. The editor must also honor the decisions of previous editors, unless there is clear evidence of misconduct.

           8. Author Guidelines: The editor is responsible for providing up-to-date guidelines for authors on manuscript preparation.
