  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Manuscript Preparation

            Manuscript

                    Manuscripts should be written in either Thai or English. All manuscripts must be carefully proofread for grammar and spelling errors. The maximum length is 20 pages using A4 paper.  

             

Typing Guidelines

Font and Font Size

  • Thai and English: Use TH Sarabun PSK font in size 14 for both Thai and English text.

Headings

  • Main Headings: Use a font size of 18, bold, and center-aligned. Examples include "Introduction," "Materials and Methods," etc. For English, use all capital letters, such as "ABSTRACT," "REFERENCES."
  • Subheadings:
    • First-level subheadings: Use a font size of 16, bold, and align to the left. Number these subheadings.
    • Second-level subheadings: Use a font size of 14, bold, and align to the left.

Page Numbering

  • Place page numbers in the top right corner of each page.

Line Numbering

  • Enable line numbering for the entire document.

Tables and Figures

  • Language: All text within tables and figures should be in English.
  • Font: Use TH Sarabun PSK font in size 14.

Title Page

The title page should be separate from the rest of the document and include the following information:

1. Title

  • Bilingual Title: Provide both a Thai and English title for the paper.
  • Concise and Accurate: The title should be concise and accurately reflect the content of the paper.
  • Center Alignment: The title should be centered on the page.

2. Author(s)

  • Full Name: Use the full name of each author in both Thai and English.
  • No Titles: Do not include titles such as Mr., Mrs., Ms., Dr., or professional titles.

3. Affiliation

  • Institutional Affiliation: Specify the institution where each author is affiliated, including the department or unit.
  • Complete Address: Provide the complete address of the institution in both Thai and English. This includes the institution's name, address, district, province, postal code, and the corresponding author's email address.

The main sections of this paper are as follows:

1. Abstract Section

The abstract section should provide a concise summary of the entire research paper.

Key Requirements:

  • Length: The abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • Language: For Thai papers, both a Thai and an English abstract are required. The English abstract should precede the Thai abstract.
  • Keywords: A maximum of 5 keywords should be provided at the end of the English abstract.

2. Introduction Section

The introduction provides the background and context for your research study. It should clearly articulate the research problem, its significance, and the specific objectives of the study.

Key Components of an Introduction:

  • Background: Provide a brief overview of the existing research on the topic. Highlight the gap in the literature that your study will address.
  • Research Problem: Clearly state the research problem that your study aims to solve.
  • Significance: Explain why the research problem is important and why your study contributes to the field.
  • Objectives: Specify the specific goals of your research.
  • (Social Sciences): In social sciences, you may also include:
    • Scope: Define the boundaries of your study.
    • Theoretical Framework: Explain the theoretical framework that guides your research.
    • Hypotheses: State your research hypotheses, if any.

3. Materials and Methods Section

This section provides a detailed description of the materials used and the procedures followed in the study.

Key Elements:

  • Materials: Clearly list all materials, equipment, and reagents used in the study.
  • Methods: Describe the procedures step-by-step, ensuring that the study can be replicated by others.
  • Clarity and Conciseness: Be concise and avoid unnecessary details. Use clear and concise language.
  • References: Cite established methods by referring to the appropriate standard or reference, such as "according to AOAC (1990)".

4. Results and Discussion Section

This section presents and interprets the findings of your research.

Key Elements:

  • Results: Present your findings clearly and concisely using text, tables, and figures.
  • Discussion: Interpret the results, compare them to previous research, and discuss the implications of your findings.

5. Conclusion

The conclusion section provides a summary of the key findings, their significance, and potential implications of your research.

  • Key elements:
    • Restate the main research question or hypothesis.
    • Summarize the most important findings.
    • Discuss the implications of your findings.
    • Highlight any limitations of the study.
    • Suggest directions for future research.

6. Acknowledgments 

The acknowledgments section is where you thank individuals or organizations that have contributed to your research.

  • Keep it brief: Limit your acknowledgments to 50 words or less.
  • Express gratitude: Thank those who provided financial support, guidance, or assistance.

Guidelines for Language Usage

  1. Lexical Choices: Employ terminology as defined in the Royal Institute’s Dictionary and official publications.
  2. Technical Terms: For technical terms, utilize both Thai and English equivalents upon their first appearance in the document.
  3. Proper Nouns and Translations: Enclose the original language of proper nouns or foreign terms in parentheses upon their first occurrence.
  4. Thai Preference: Prioritize Thai terminology whenever possible.
  5. Consistency: Maintain consistency in the use of terms and abbreviations throughout the entire document.

Manuscripts that do not adhere to the specified guidelines will not be considered for publication. The journal reserves the right not to return any submitted manuscripts under any circumstances. Submitted articles must be original and not currently under consideration for publication by any other journal, either within the ThaiJo system or any other system. If it is discovered that an article has been previously published or plagiarized, the article will be rejected or immediately removed from the system.
