Diversity of Plants in the Ban Kwang Ngoi Phatthana Community Forest, Khok Klang Subdistrict, Lam Plai Mat District, Buriram Province

Abstract
The collection and dissemination of plant data in community forests are increasing. have become increasingly common, often in the form of documents or pamphlets, which have limitations regarding accessibility and updating. Additionally, there is a risk of data loss or inaccuracies over time. The study on the Diversity of Plants in the Ban Kwang Ngoi Phatthana Community Forest, Khok Klang Subdistrict, Lam Plai Mat District, Buriram Province aimed to survey and collect data on plant diversity from a total of 11 sample plots and direct surveys from September to November 2024, to develop into a database that is easy to access and understand. The data is displayed and stored via Google My Maps and Google Sheets, which are widely used today.
The findings revealed a total of 57 plant species from 29 families, with the most common family being Fabaceae, which included 9 species. The tree species with the highest Importance Value Index (IVI) was Memecylon edule exhibited the highest Importance Value Index (IVI) at 53.82, followed by Xylia xylocarpa (Roxb.) Taub., Canarium subulatum Guillaumin, Morinda coreia Buch.Ham., and Shorea siamensis Mig. ranking subsequently. The species diversity (H’) value was 2.47. The developed database effectively stores and displays data, dividing the output into two sections: sample plot data and plant details, covering scientific names, botanical characteristics, distribution, and uses. User testing was conducted with three computer experts and 30 general users, totaling 33 participants. The evaluation results showed that the users rated their overall satisfaction with using the database as high (the average is 4.05). This database system helps store and continuously update data, supporting more effective community forest management.
