การสังเคราะห์พอลิแลคติกแอซิดต่อกิ่งด้วยยางธรรมชาติโดยวิธี Reactive Melt-Blending เพื่อใช้เป็นสารรับแรงกระแทกในพอลิแลคติกแอซิด

บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งเน้นในการสังเคราะห์สารเพิ่มความเหนียวให้กับพอลิแลคติกแอซิด (PLA) โดยใช้ PLA ต่อกิ่งด้วยยางธรรมชาติ (NR) เป็นสารเพิ่มความเหนียว (toughening agent) และใช้มาเลอิคแอนไฮไดรด์ (MA) เป็นตัวเชื่อม (linker) ซึ่งตัวแปรที่ศึกษา คือ (1) ผลของการดัดแปรโครงสร้างของ PLA ให้อยู่ในรูปของไกลโคไลซ์ PLA (GPLA) โดยใช้เอธิลีนไกลคอล (EG) ต่อ PLA ในอัตราส่วนต่าง ๆ ตั้งแต่ 0.1 : 1-1 : 1 โดยโมล และ (2) ผลของปริมาณ MA ตั้งแต่ 4-10 ส่วน ต่อ 100 ส่วน ของ NR (phr) โดยเมื่อสังเคราะห์สารเพิ่มความเหนียวต่าง ๆ เหล่านี้แล้ว ได้นำสารเหล่านี้ไปทดสอบการใช้เป็นสารเพิ่มความเหนียวในปริมาณ 15 % ของ PLA ซึ่งผลการทดสอบการรับแรงกระแทกพบว่าสารเพิ่มความเหนียวที่ใช้ GPLA ต่อกิ่งกับยางธรรมชาติ (GPLA-g-NR) ส่งผลเสียต่อการรับแรงกระแทกของ PLA ในทุกอัตราส่วนของเอธิลีนไกลคอลที่ศึกษา ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากเอธิลีนไกลคอลส่งผลให้เกิดการตัดสายโซ่โมเลกุลของ PLA ให้สั้นลง ส่วนสารเพิ่มความเหนียวที่ใช้ PLA ที่ไม่มีการปรับสภาพต่อกิ่งกับยางธรรมชาติ (PLA-g-NR) นั้นพบว่าให้ค่าความต้านทานต่อแรงกระแทกเปลี่ยนแปลงตามปริมาณมาเลอิคแอนไฮไดรด์ โดยปริมาณมาเลอิคแอนไฮไดรด์ที่ 6 phr ให้ค่าความต้านทานต่อแรงกระแทกสูงสุด และยังมีความเข้ากันได้ (compatibility) ระหว่างเฟสของยางและพอลิแลคติกแอซิดที่ดีอีกด้วย
