Cytology. – Cytogical studies of Scleropora sorghi Weston & Uppal were done in order to investigate nuclear behavior and number during the development of conidiophores and conidia, and to explore the possibility of using certain cytological features as an aid in identifying this group of fungi (1,3). Using acetocarmine, iron alum hematoxylin, and giemsa stains it was found that thalli, condiophores and conidia of S. sorghi were variable depending upon the size and stage of development of the fungus.
