บทคัดย่อ

Spermatogenesis in Penaeus monodon Fabricius was studied usint light microscopy. Only one stage of spermatogenic cell, besides spermatogonia, was consistently found in any seminiferous tubules. Primary spermatocyte in Prophase I was characterized by a single large inclusion body located at one pole of the cell. Secondary spermatocyte division resulted in the formation of spermatid. Spermatid would undergo an elaborate period of differentiation resulting in the formation of sperm which was different from those of other living organisms in the Animal Kingdom.
