บทคัดย่อ

Experiment on tillage systems and methods of weed control in corn was conducted at the National Corn and Sorghum Research Center during July and November 1982. Eight tillage systems varying from zero tillage to conventional tillage were evaluated in combination with three weeding methods, namely, no weeding, hand weeding, and atrazine spraying. The experimental site was heavily infested with nutsedge and Burmese grass. Tillage systems did not have a pronounce effect on plant height, numbers of plant per unit land area, and grain yield. A delay in flowering was observed in a zero tillage plot. Flowering date, plant height and numbers of plant per unit land 'area were not affected by methods of weed control. However, the no-weeding plot yielded less than hand weeding and atrazine spraying plots.
