A Development of a Training Model of Edible and Herbal Plants Conservation for Youth in Sai Mun Community Forest, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province

This pre-experimental research aimed to study the effect of using a training model of eatable and herbal plants conservation for youth in Sai Mun community forest by comparing knowledge and awareness before and after using a model, and study the satisfaction with a model. Samples were 30 youths with determine from G*Power Version 3.1.9.4 program using simple random sampling with a draw. Research tools consist of: 1) knowledge test and, 2) questionnaire for awareness, and 3) questionnaire for satisfaction. Data was analyzed by percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test (dependent), and Shapiro Wilk test. The result showed that; a knowledge of eatable and herbal plants conservation in Sai Mun community forest before participating in the activities of a model at a moderate level (57.20 percent) and awareness of eatable and herbal plants conservation before participating in the activities of a model at a moderate level  ( =3.42, S.D.=0.21) and a knowledge of eatable and herbal plants conservation after participating in the activities of a model were at the highest level (89.90 percent and awareness of eatable and herbal plants conservation after participating in the activities of a model =4.71, S.D.=0.19), increased with statistical significance at the 0.05 level, and satisfied with the model at the highest level ( =4.52, S.D.= 0.21).
