Abstract

This was developed for quick initials screening the patient in public, by using face recognition technology combine with thermal camera technology to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infected. The idea in this project is to use a thermal camera to detect heating from people and record a person’s temperature to the database from face recognition. If who’s temperature is more than 37.5 degree Celsius, the system will notify people nearby the patient in 5 – 10 meters via the mobile network to prevent themselves. Medical staff can know the patient’s travel history and who’s nearby. In system efficiency test, we use AMG8833 thermal camera to detecting human temperature combined with the medical digital thermometer. A thermal camera has a 24.07 percent discrepancy compared to the medical digital thermometer.
