About the Journal

          YRU Journal of Science and Technology is an academic journal established in 2016 by the Institute of Research and Development for Southern Border Provinces, Yala Rajabhat University. Its primary objective is to promote and disseminate high-quality academic research in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
          The journal aims to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and to foster collaborative networks among researchers, faculty members, students, and educators both within and outside the institution, at both national and international levels. A particular emphasis is placed on utilizing knowledge for sustainable local development.
           The journal welcomes both research articles and academic articles that are contemporary, employ rigorous research methodologies, and contribute to advancing knowledge in relevant fields. Submissions are accepted in both Thai and English.
          Operating as an Open Access journal, interested readers can access and download full-text articles online free of charge. To promote the widespread dissemination of knowledge to the public, no publication fees (article processing charges) are levied on authors. However, all published works are copyrighted by the Institute of Research and Development for Southern Border Provinces, Yala Rajabhat University.

         The YRU Journal of Science and Technology aims to publish high-quality research articles and review articles that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in science and technology. The journal covers the following areas:

         Biological Sciences: Agriculture, Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology
         Applied Sciences: Food Technology, Cosmetic Science, Environmental Science

Types of Articles

        YRU Journal of Science and Technology aims to promote academic discussion and collaboration among scholars, policymakers, and practitioners. We welcome original research articles and review articles that advance scientific knowledge and technological innovations.The journal aspires to contribute to the development of more effective, inclusive, and sustainable policies.
       Our editorial board upholds high standards to ensure the quality and thoroughness of submissions to YRU Journal of Science and Technology. Please familiarize yourself with the criteria for different article types.
          1. Research Article:
            Length: Research articles should not exceed 7,000 words, meticulously covering essential segments, including abstract, introduction, literature review, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.
           Origin: These articles should emanate from individual or collaborative research studies spanning diverse academic fields associated with science and Technology.
           Adherence: Authors are obligated to adhere to specific guidelines provided by YRU Journal of Science and Technology, encompassing article length, formatting intricacies, and the peer review process. Failure to comply may result in rejection or necessitate a revision.
           2. Review Article:
            Length: Review articles, offering insightful analyses of current trends and proposing future directions, may exhibit variance in length, typically around 8,000 words.
           Flexibility: Guidelines for review articles are somewhat adaptable to accommodate comprehensive coverage of intricate topics.


Language
        All articles published in the YRU Journal of Science and Technology (YRUJST) must adhere to Thai and English language standards, including proper grammar and accurate spelling. For English-language articles, authors are highly encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed by a native English speaker prior to submission.

Publication Frequency
      YRU Journal of Science and Technology is committed to the timely and consistent dissemination of research findings in science and technology. The journal is published 3 issues per year, as follows:
     Issue 1: January – April
     Issue 2: May – August
     Issue 3: September – December
Each issue contains 5–8 manuscripts.

Publication Fee
       There is No Fee or Charge in any stage of publication process.

Open Access Policy        
       All articles published with open access are immediately and permanently made freely accessible to everyone for viewing, downloading, and distribution.

Revenue Sources          
       For transparency, we disclose our revenue model. Yala Rajabhat University serves as a primary funding source, and our operational ethos prioritizes accessibility. Importantly, submissions undergo assessment solely based on scientific merit, with no influence from funding sources. 

Advertising and Direct Marketing Policy
       
We proactively implement strategic advertising campaigns in order to enhance our standing. Adherence to principles of transparency, relevance, and propriety define our advertising policy. YRUJST regards professionalism and ethical standards in the highest regard. We strictly adhere to a judicious, double-blind, standard peer review procedure that regulates our proceedings. Advertising partners have no authority over editorial decisions.
        Direct marketing entails regular communication with researchers through emails and messages, with the intention of encouraging their active participation and contribution to YRUJST content. The dissemination of information and solicitation of submissions by our editorial members are crucial functions that significantly contribute to the progression of knowledge within the Asian context.

Journal History
      YRU Journal of Science and Technology, formerly registered under eISSN: 2672-9873, 2539-5688, is an academic journal affiliated with the Southern Border Research and Development Institute, Yala Rajabhat University. Established in 2016 with the objective of promoting and disseminating high-quality academic research in science and technology, the journal has served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaborative networks among researchers, faculty members, students, and educators, both nationally and internationally. Since Volume 8, Issue 2 (2023), the journal has transitioned to an online-only, Open Access format, providing free full-text access without publication fees (article processing charges) for authors. Its academic quality has been consistently recognized by the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) Centre, which classified it as a Tier 1 journal for two consecutive assessment periods: from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2024, and from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2029. Today, the journal continues to welcome both research articles and academic articles that are contemporary, methodologically rigorous, and contribute to advancing knowledge in science and technology.
