YRU Journal of Science and Technology is published by the Institute of Research and Development for Southern Border Provinces, Yala Rajabhat University. Driven by a strong commitment to advancing research and academic services, the university established this journal in 2016 (B.E. 2559) to serve as a medium for disseminating high-quality academic works by faculty members, researchers, students, and personnel from both internal and external institutions, at both national and international levels.
The journal welcomes research articles, academic articles, and book reviews. To maintain the highest quality, the article review process strictly adheres to international standards. Every submitted manuscript undergoes a double-blinded review process by at least two peer reviewers in the relevant field. Currently, the journal accepts and publishes articles in both Thai and English.
The journal accepts and publishes articles in both Thai and English, with three issues released annually: Issue 1 (January–April), Issue 2 (May–August), and Issue 3 (September–December). It is fully published online via the ThaiJO platform.
Currently, the YRU Journal of Science and Technology is certified and indexed in Tier 2 of the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI) database (from 2025 to 2029), and is currently undergoing further development for future inclusion in the Scopus database.

Notification Regarding the Requirement for Two Expert Reviewers for Article Evaluation

Effective November 27, 2025, journals shall employ two qualified peer reviewers in accordance with the Announcement of the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) on Criteria and Procedures for Consideration and Appointment of Personnel to the Positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor (No. 3) B.E. 2568 (2025), which stipulates:
"In the case of publication of research articles or academic articles in national-level academic journals, such publications must appear in journals indexed in the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) database, specifically:
- For the position of Assistant Professor: publications must be indexed in TCI Tier 1 or TCI Tier 2
- For the position of Associate Professor: publications must be indexed in TCI Tier 1
For applications for academic positions in Social Sciences and Humanities disciplines:
- For the positions of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor: publications must be indexed in TCI Tier 1 or TCI Tier 2
- For the position of Professor: publications must be indexed in TCI Tier 1"
The aforementioned announcement is based on TCI criteria, which require the use of two qualified peer reviewers for article evaluation.

2. Before starting the submission process, please review the submission guidelines and checklist for fast editorial process. If the manuscript does not follow the guidelines, it will immediately be rejected.
3. The regular process takes approximately 4 – 5 months* (The YRU Journal of Science and Technology reserves the right to refuse any manuscripts requesting for shorter duration of this process.)
4. In case your manuscript needs a revision, you are required to edit the manuscript and send the revised version to the staff within 30 days, after being informed about the revision. Otherwise, your manuscript could be rejected for publication.
5. The author must revise manuscript according to the recommendations of reviewer and editor. If you disagree with the recommendations of the reviewer and editor, the author can explain to the editor. However, the editor's decision is final.
6. If AI is utilized in any part of an article, it must be disclosed to the journal. If it is discovered that AI has been used in certain parts of the article without proper modification or disclosure, even if the article has been accepted, published, or disseminated, the journal reserves the right to withdraw the article from publication immediately.
