As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is double-spaced; uses Arial Font 10 point with numbered lines and in the left-hand margin; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Manuscript Submission Guidelines

Thai Journal of Agricultural Science (TJAS) welcomes submissions of original research articles, review articles, and short communications that contribute to the fields of agricultural science. To ensure a smooth submission process, please follow these guidelines:

1. Submission Process

  • Online Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted through the TJAS online submission system. Please create an account or log in at Submissions.
  • Manuscript Preparation: Authors must prepare their manuscripts according to Author Guidelines. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines will be returned to the authors for correction.
  • Ethical Compliance: Authors are required to ensure their submissions comply with the TJAS’s Ethical Guidelines.

2. Manuscript Categories (Please see the Accepted Article Types)

  • Research Articles: Detailed studies reporting original research.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of specific topics.
  • Short Communications: Brief reports on novel findings.

3. Manuscript Components (Please see Author Guidelines)

  • Title Page: Include the title, authors' names, affiliations, corresponding author’s contact details, and acknowledgments.
  • Abstract: A concise summary (250 - 300 words) outlining the objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: Provide 3-5 keywords relevant to the manuscript.
  • Main Text: Structured sections including Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
  • Figures and Tables: High-quality images and tables should be embedded within the manuscript text at appropriate positions.

4. Ethical Standard (Please see Ethical Guidelines)

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism. Proper citation and acknowledgment of previous work are mandatory.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Data Integrity: Authors should ensure the accuracy and integrity of data presented in the manuscript.
  • Animal and Human Subjects: Studies involving animals or human subjects must have appropriate ethical approval.

5. Review Process (Please see Peer Review Process)

  • Initial Screening: Manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism and adherence to submission guidelines.
  • Peer Review: Submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process by at least two expert reviewers.
  • Revision and Resubmission: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' comments. Revisions should be resubmitted within 4 weeks.

6. Final Decision (Please see Peer Review Process)

  • Acceptance: Upon acceptance, authors will be notified, and the manuscript will proceed to the production stage.
  • Typesetting and Proofreading: Accepted manuscripts will be typeset and sent to authors for proofreading. Authors are responsible for correcting any errors and approving the final version.

7. Publication (Please see Peer Review Process)

  • Online Publication: Once finalized, the manuscript will be published online and included in the relevant issue of TJAS.

8. Post-Publication

  • Corrections and Retractions: Authors should promptly report any significant errors in published manuscripts to the editorial office for corrections or retractions.
