Guidelines for Preparing Author Responses to Reviewer and Editor Comments
Posted on 2025-11-02The Editorial Office would like to remind all corresponding authors that a clear and complete response to reviewer and editor comments is an essential part of the manuscript revision process.
Authors are required to submit a separate “Response to Comments” document together with the revised manuscript. Each reviewer or editor comment should be listed, followed by the author’s detailed response describing:
- What change was made to the manuscript, or
- Why a change was not made, with justification.
Please also indicate the page and line numbers in the revised manuscript where each revision appears. Responses should be written in a professional, polite, and factual tone.
Providing a thorough and well-organized response reflects the authors’ commitment to academic quality and facilitates efficient editorial evaluation. Manuscripts without adequate responses may be returned for further clarification or deferred from publication consideration.
