Announcement: TJAS Policy Update on Preprints and Prior Publication

The Thai Journal of Agricultural Science (TJAS) has updated its Ethical Guidelines for Publishing and Author Guidelines to reinforce standards of originality, transparency, and publication ethics, in alignment with international best practices (COPE).

Under the updated policy:

  • Preprints are permitted, provided they have not undergone peer review, are fully disclosed at submission (including DOI/URL), and the submitted manuscript is a substantially revised and improved version.
  • Previously published works are not considered, including articles published in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Scopus-indexed journals) and full conference papers.
  • Manuscripts derived from conference abstracts may be considered only if they are significantly expanded and properly cited.

All submissions will undergo screening for similarity and originality. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in rejection or retraction.

Authors are strongly encouraged to review the updated Ethical Guidelines and Author Guidelines prior to submission.
