This research represents a research and development study designed to achieve two primary objectives: developing a system and testing the performance of a mulberry tree growth monitoring and assessment system utilizing remote sensing technology. The research instruments employed included 1) a mulberry tree growth monitoring and assessment system based on remote sensing technology and 2) a system performance testing framework. The researchers implemented the system development process using the systems development life cycle approach, subsequently conducting comprehensive performance testing across three critical dimensions: system capability, usability, and system accuracy and functionality. The resulting data underwent statistical analysis using fundamental statistical measures, specifically percentage values and means. The research findings revealed two significant outcomes. First, regarding system development results, the study successfully produced a technology-enabled system for monitoring and assessing mulberry tree growth that demonstrates practical applicability for farmer mulberry plantation management. The system employs remote sensing image analysis to process data and provide recommendations concerning yield forecasting, irrigation planning, and mulberry plantation mapping, thereby enabling efficient plantation management practices. Farmers can substantially reduce direct field survey requirements, resulting in considerable time and resource savings. Second, concerning system performance testing results, the system demonstrated satisfactory performance outcomes across all evaluated dimensions. The system achieved high efficiency ratings in system capability (93.33%), usability (90%), and operational accuracy (90%), with an overall average performance rating of 90.11%.
