The Adaptation of Young Smart Farmer in the Disruptive Technology Era

Abstract
This research study aimed to investigate the personal basic factors, economic and social factors that affect the adjustment of the new generation of farmers to the disruptive Technology era. A survey was conducted among 135 young farmers using nonprobability sampling and quota sampling in proportion to the population of each region. Statistical analyses, including independent sample T-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression, were employed. The findings revealed that the new generation farmers demonstrated a high level of ability to access information technology (=3.89), particularly knowledge about technology (
=3.94). Moreover, these farmers exhibited a significant level of adaptation to technological changes (
=3.93), especially in terms of marketing strategies (
=3.93). The study further indicated that economic and social factors, such as access to funding, and technological factors, including equipment, network infrastructure, and software knowledge, significantly influenced the adaptation of young farmers to disruptive technologies.
