Factors Influencing the Cassava Production Efficiency Enhancement by Farmers in Wichian Buri District, Phetchabun Province

Abstract
The objective of this research was to study the factors influencing the cassava production efficiency enhancement. The population consisted of 262 cassava farmers in Wichian Buri district, Phetchabun province, during the 2024/2025 production year. The sample size determined by using the Taro Yamane formula with a 0.05 margin of error resulted in 159 respondents simple random sampling. Data was collected using a structured interview form, which demonstrated a reliability coefficient of 0.892. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that the farmers had an average age of 51.43 years, an average cassava cultivation experience of 5.22 years, an average cultivation area of 13.42 rai, an average household labor force of 1.97 persons, and an average income from cassava production of 7,567.10 baht per rai. The factors significantly influencing the improvement of cassava production efficiency were cassava yield (significant at the 0.01 level) and cassava production practices (significant at the 0.05 level).
