Abstract

Balance of plant nutrients is one of the main factors affecting yield (amount and quality) and problems of die-back and rust disease in Arabica coffee. Many experiments have been conducted to find cut the appropiate method for plant nutrient management and fetilizer applications. The results and suggestions are however not success by implication at the farm level. Amount and timing of fertilizer application should be based on: plant need at each developmental stage, effect of fertilizer on nutrient accumulation in leaves as well as relation between nutrient in leaves and yield potential. Related research results will be reported in a serie.
