Abstract

The research aimed to study effect of levels soybean hulls in concentrate at 0, 10, 20 and 30% on feed intake, nutrient utilization and nitrogen balance. Four crossbred Thai Native x Anglo-Nubian 50% male goats, 1.3±0.04 years old with average body weight (BW) of 23±3.2 kg, were arranged in 4 x 4 Latin
Square Design. The goat were fed with 0 (T1), 10 (T2), 20 (T3) and 30% (T4) and rice straw ad libitum. The results showed that the diets dry matter intake (g/h/d) was 659.90-748.50 g, crude protein intake was 87.17-110.77g, ether extract intake was 14.95-18.85 g, neutral detergent intake was 342.26-482.32 g,
acid detergent lignin was 166.99-244.28 g, was not significant difference (P>0.05) among treatments. The digestibility of dry matter, neutral detergent fiber and lignocellulose were not significant among treatments. However the digestibility coefficient of crude protein in group of 20% soy hulls was significant highest (P<0.05). Nitrogen balance all groups were positive. It was concluded that can be used soy bean hulls 30% in concentrate because was not effect on igestibility coefficient and nitrogen balance for goat.
