The Study on Increasing Effective in Expenses Management to Reduce Cost of Milk Productivity of Small Holder Dairy Farm in Borabu District of Maha Sarakham Province

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the effective increasing in expenses management to reduce cost of milk productivity of small holder dairy farm in Borabu District of Maha Sarakham Province. The sample subjects were 30 dairy farms in Borabu District of Maha Sarakham Province. The research team was collected data by question from the dairy co-operation and farmers. The statistic was used in data analysis; including percentage and average (mean). The results of the study were found that 90% of dairy farmers did not note cost of farm. 75% of the data cost were received from the dairy co-operation. Total cost overall 25,503,815.23 baht could produce raw milk 2,434,550.00 kilograms. The cost of raw milk production was 10.48 baht/kg. Analysis in percentage of cost
found that feed cost was 80.61% labor cost was 5.53%, water bill electricity bill and fuel bill were 5.16% and other groups (drugs material and artificial insemination service) were 8.70%. Feed cost was the highest cost in this research. The dairy cows in farms were 87.5-93% Holstein Friesian crossbred. If the dairy farmer have to be effective increasing in expenses management to reduce cost of milk productivity. They must reduce unnecessary cost in feed part only or using agricultural by product mixed in feed, and replacement, and used percentage of pedigree in Holstein Friesian crossbred dairy cows were not exceed. 87.5-93% in herd.
