ความชุกและความแปรผันทางพันธุกรรมของเชื้อไวรัสพาร์โวในแมวที่พบในภาคกลางและภาคตะวันออกของประเทศไทย

บทคัดย่อ
เชื้อไวรัสพาร์โวในแมว หรือ Feline Parvovirus (FPV) เป็นเชื้อไวรัสที่ทำให้เกิดอาการท้องเสียรุนแรงและทำให้เกิดโรคลำไส้อักเสบในแมว ซึ่งมีอัตราการเสียชีวิตค่อนข้างสูง โดยเฉพาะในแมวเด็กที่ไม่ได้ทำวัคซีน อีกทั้งยังมีรายงานพบว่าแมวมีความไวต่อการติดเชื้อได้ทั้ง FPV และ Canine Parvovirus type 2 (CPV-2) การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อหาความชุกของโรคลำไส้อักเสบในแมวจากเชื้อไวรัสพาร์โว หรือโรคไข้หัดแมวที่พบในภาคกลางและภาคตะวันออกของประเทศไทย โดยทำการเก็บตัวอย่างตั้งแต่เดือนพฤศจิกายน 2565 ถึงเดือนเมษายน 2567 รวมระยะเวลาทั้งสิ้น 1 ปี 6 เดือน และวิเคราะห์ความแปรผันทางพันธุกรรมของเชื้อไวรัสพาร์โวในแมวร่วมด้วย ผลการศึกษาพบความชุกของโรคลำไส้อักเสบในแมวจากเชื้อไวรัสพาร์โว หรือโรคไข้หัดแมว เท่ากับร้อยละ 14.29 และพบอัตราความชุกของโรคสูงในเดือนพฤศจิกายน ธันวาคม มกราคม และกุมภาพันธ์ ซึ่งอยู่ในช่วงฤดูหนาวของทุกปี ส่วนฤดูฝนพบการเกิดโรคได้บ้าง และฤดูร้อนพบอัตราการเกิดโรคต่ำที่สุด สอดคล้องกับการติดเชื้อตามธรรมชาติของไวรัสและการแพร่กระจายของโรคในอดีตที่ผ่านมา การหาความสัมพันธ์ของความชุกของการเกิดโรคลำไส้อักเสบในแมวจากเชื้อไวรัสพาร์โวในพื้นที่ภาคกลางและภาคตะวันออกของประเทศไทย ด้วยวิธี Spearman rank correlation บ่งชี้ว่า อาการป่วยในระบบทางเดินอาหารของแมวและการติดเชื้อไวรัสพาร์โวหรือโรคไข้หัดแมวมีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างมาก โดยค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์เท่ากับ 0.84 ที่ระดับนัยสำคัญ 0.05 นอกจากนี้ ผลการเปรียบเทียบวิธีการวินิจฉัยระหว่างชุดทดสอบไวรัสพาร์โวแบบรวดเร็วทางการค้า (Immunochromatography; IC test) และการตรวจยีน VP2-FPV ด้วยปฏิกิริยาลูกโซ่พอลิเมอเรส (PCR) พบว่าค่าความไว (sensitivity) เท่ากับร้อยละ 62.96 (17/27) และค่าพยากรณ์ผลบวก (positive predictive value; PPV) เท่ากับร้อยละ 65.38 (17/26) ดังนั้น ชุดทดสอบแบบรวดเร็วทางการค้าสามารถตรวจพบผลบวกได้ร้อยละ 62.96 และมีความถูกต้องของผลบวกเท่ากับร้อยละ 65.38 เมื่อเทียบกับวิธีมาตรฐาน (gold standard) คือ PCR ผลการวิเคราะห์ลำดับนิวคลีโอไทด์บางส่วนของยีน VP2 ทั้ง FPV (236 bp) และ CPV-2 (529 bp) พบว่าแมวที่ติดเชื้อไวรัสพาร์โวหรือโรคไข้หัดแมวทั้งหมดมีสารพันธุกรรมเฉพาะ FPV เท่านั้น แสดงให้เห็นว่ายังไม่พบความแปรผันทางพันธุกรรมของไวรัสในการติดเชื้อข้ามสายพันธุ์ในประชากรแมวที่อาศัยในพื้นที่ภาคกลางและภาคตะวันออกของประเทศไทยในขณะนี้
