Development of a Research Management System and Mission Relations for Local Development of the Faculty of Education, Chandrakasem Rajabhat University and Network Partners

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were 1) to study the status and guidelines for research management and mission relations for local development of the Faculty of Education, Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, and network partners; and 2) to develop a research management system and mission relations for local development of the mentioned organizations. The target population for the study was comprised of 30 members of the Committee of the Research Management Unit and the faculty members of the Faculty of Education, 14 representatives of the Sappaya Sub-district Municipality, and 15 representatives of 3 villages, 5 persons from each village. The research instruments were a group discussion form, a set of questionnaires for the faculty members of the Faculty of Education, and another set of questionnaires for community members. Data derived were analyzed using descriptive statistics and content Analysis.

The findings were as follows. 1) Regarding the research status of the faculty members in the past 6 years, it received the most funding for research studies in 2016 for 2,818,636 baht and the least in 2019 for 683,100 baht. As for the guidelines for research management that research funding should be appropriate for the projects needed by the community, a research management system should be explicit in terms of roles. 2) The research management system could be divided into 3 parts: 1.1) research problem development system, 1.2) management system to govern the research operation, and 1.3) system for disseminating implementation of the research findings.
