The Development of a Research Management System and Mechanisms for Local Development in ChandraKasem Rajabhat University and Area Networks

Abstract

The objective of this research was to develop a research and engagement management system for Chandrakasem Rajabhat University in the manner of Engagement University. This study was considered a local research prioritizing in 2 provinces, Chainat and Bangkok. This participatory action research integrated collaborations from all related sectors both inside and outside the university. The population used as a study group consisted of 2 executives of Research and Development Institute (RDI), namely the director and deputy director, and 2 administrators of the faculties. The study methods were surveys, interviews, focus group discussions. learning exchange meeting and training Analyzing information from material received using a common conference.

The research results showed that the research and engagement management system of Chandrakasem Rajabhat University were as follows. 1) The structure of the research and engagement management system of the university in both Chainat and Bangkok comprised of management units at four levels: the Faculty, the Tambon, the District and the Province level, which coordinated between the university and the province organizations. In addition, there was also the Innovation and Engagement Center functioning as the central agency for gathering, distributing and expanding the research knowledge. 2)The research and engagement management system consisted of the input factors which are the policies from both inside and outside the university. The core management system operated following the PDCA circle, including the supporting systems: the personnel development system, the mentor system, the knowledge management system, the database system, the network system, as well as the work development system.
