Efficiency Comparison of Light Bulbs’ Type to Maintain Vegetative Bud of Chrysanthemum Through Night Break

Abstract

Efficiency comparison of light bulbs’ type to maintain vegetative bud of Chrysanthemum through night break lighting, cyclic and non cyclic, was conducted. Eleven plants were placed at various distance from the studied light bulb. It was found out that incandescent bulb provided the highest light intensity and being the most effective light bulb for night break lighting to be followed by warm white and cool daylight bulbs. However incandescent bulbs consume electric current 3.3 times more than warm white and cool daylight.
