EFFECT OF CHEMICALS ON POSTHARVEST QUALITIES OF CUT ALSTROEMERIA ALSTROEMERIA HYBRIDA

Abstract
Alstroemeria cv. Advendo was pulsed in two kinds of solution (a) 0.25 mM silver thiosulfate, 100 ppm benzylaminopurine and 75 ppm citric acid and (b) 2 ml/liter Florissant 110 for 24 hours. The chemicals delayed the days to 50 percent leaf yellowing from 5.44 days to 8.07 and 7.20 days respectively, 50 percent petal dropping from 8.60 days to 11.73 and 10.83 days re- spectively. The chemicals also decreased assessment scale of leaf yellowing.
