ประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศเกษตรกรรม มีพืชเศรษฐกิจมากมายที่ทำรายได้ให้เกษตรกร ปาล์มน้ำมันเป็นพืชเศรษฐกิจประเภทหน่ึงที่มีมากในประเทศ เมื่อจำนวนปาล์มที่มีมาก ทำให้เศษเหลือทิ้งทางการเกษตรก็มากตามไปด้วย ขี้เถ้ากะลาปาล์ม เป็นเศษเหลือทิ้งทางการเกษตรที่มีมากผู้วิจัย จึงคิดนำขี้เถ้ากะลาปาล์ม มาใช้ประโยชน์โดยการทำอิฐบล็อกประสาน การผลิตอิฐบล็อกประสานจากขี้เถ้ากะลาปาล์มสามารถลดต้นทุนในการผลิตอิฐบล็อกประสานได้ ในอัตราส่วนที่เหมาะสมที่สุดในการทำอิฐบล็อก คือ สูตรที่ 4 เพราะเมื่อดูจากการดูดซึมผ่านน้ำน้อยที่สุด และค่าการรับแรงอัดที่ดีเป็นที่น่าพอใจและสามารถใช้ประโยชน์จากขี้เถ้ากะลาปาล์มได้Brick cinderblock for the development of the palmoil
