บทคัดย่อ
Water resources are renewable energy sources that can be used to generate electricity efficiently. It can also be used as a good replacement for the fossil fuel and do not producing pollution to the environment. In this research, a commercial centrifugal pump was used without any modifications as a water turbines for generating electricity by using the Pump As Turbine (PAT) method. In the experiment, the Water Horse Power (WHP), Break Horse Power (BHP) and the power generation experiment were conducted. The maximum power output of 808.5 watts was achieved and representing a hydro-to-electricity conversion efficiency of 57.66%. After compared the cost of this project cost of the electricity produced, there is a break-even point of approximately a year. The results of the experiment show that the pumps that are commercially available can be used effectively without any modification. This helps the projects like this a lot easier to be done. Not only the advantage of low cost material but also all the materials are commercially available. All the material work well without any modification and also durable and save time and labor required.
