Rice bran carbon (RBC) was prepared using different carbonization temperature at 500, 600, 700, 800 and 900°C for 60 min. Particle size, particle size distribution, crytal structure, chemical compositions, specific surface area and morphology of RBC were characterized.  RBC gave the broad particle size distribution and the ranging size from 74-102 µm. The smallest particle size (74 µm) was observed at 600°C. From XRD analysis, RBC showed rhombohedral structure form. The chemical compositions of RBC were consisted MgO, SiO2,P2O5, K2O, CaO, MnO, Fe2O3 and ZnO. Moreover, specific surface area of 600 OC carbonized RBC was highest value (151.99 m2/g) which corresponding to particle size. Scaning electron micrograph of 600°C carbonized RBC showed the best particle distribution. Compared to N550 carbon black, 600 OC carbonized RBC gave larger particle size with higher specific surface area.
