About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Thai Society of Agricultural Engineering Journal (TSAEJ)
The Thai Society of Agricultural Engineering Journal is an academic publication produced by the Thai Society of Agricultural Engineering. Its primary objective is to disseminate research findings encompassing new knowledge, innovations, and technologies in agricultural and biosystems engineering. The journal accepts research articles, research notes, and review articles.
The content published reflects the extensive scope of agricultural engineering, which integrates various engineering disciplines to enhance agricultural productivity and biosystems. This includes, but is not limited to: agricultural machinery, soil and water engineering, post-harvest technology, food engineering, agricultural structures, agricultural systems management, and agricultural energy and environment. Submissions may include reports on experimental results providing new insights, theoretical analyses, innovative designs and inventions, or presentations of novel experimental techniques.
Scope of the Journal
The journal covers seven primary areas and related fields:
-
Power and Machinery: Engines and power, design and testing of agricultural machinery, manufacturing processes, and operational techniques.
-
Soil and Water Engineering: Compaction, erosion, soil improvement, arid lands, water storage, hydrology, irrigation systems, and on-farm water management.
-
Post-harvest and Food Engineering: Post-harvest processing and storage, packaging, non-destructive techniques, food processing machinery, and bio-engineering.
-
Structures and Buildings: Design of agricultural buildings, silos, greenhouses, plant factories, farm layout, and agro-industrial plant design.
-
Agricultural Systems: Logistics and supply chain management for agricultural produce, traceability and food safety, systems management, simulation, and agro-industry.
-
Electronics and Information Technology: Precision agriculture, remote sensing, GIS, expert systems, sensors, robotics, automation, bioinformatics, and software development.
-
Energy and Environment: Renewable energy, biomass, energy management, agricultural waste management, recycling, zero-waste technology, and agro-ecosystem engineering.
Peer Review Process
The Editorial Board reserves the right to decline manuscripts that have not been prepared according to the Author Guidelines or do not utilize the provided Manuscript Template.
All manuscripts undergo a Double-blind review by at least two qualified experts. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential. The Editorial Board will notify the Corresponding Author of the evaluation results. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback, provide a point-by-point response to all queries, and return the revised documents within the specified timeframe. Final acceptance for publication is based on the reviewers' evaluations and the discretion of the Editorial Board.
Review Criteria include:
-
Title: Concise, relevant, and grammatically correct in both Thai and English.
-
Abstract: Comprehensive yet concise, with alignment between Thai and English versions.
-
Introduction: Clear problem statement, comprehensive literature review, and defined objectives.
-
Materials and Methods: Correct methodology, detailed experimental procedures (reproducible), and reliable equipment.
-
Results and Discussion: Complete reporting of findings, reliable data, appropriate presentation (tables/graphs), and logical discussion aligned with objectives.
-
Conclusion: Thorough summary of key findings and recommendations.
-
References: Accurate citations and accessible sources.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
