Abstract

Development of a heat exchange equipment set for the Whole dried longan process. By transferring heat through copper heat exchange equipment with LPG flowing within the tube, turning the liquid gas into gas rapidly and not exchanging heat with the environment, ensuring the safety of LPG gas tanks, the heat sources were studied in two ways: a 6,000 W electric heater and heat from the remaining gas residue ignited to heat the water. Temperature sensors were installed at four locations in the lychee drying room, and the water temperature in the test was set at 60 ºC. It was found that the heat exchange equipment set with heat sources from the electric heater and heat from the remaining gas could efficiently vaporize LPG gas and maintain a consistent temperature at all four locations in the lychee drying room, including the peel. The tank temperature (Ttank) could be easily and conveniently controlled by the user. The consumption of LPG gas was 65.53 kilograms and 57 kilograms for 4 hours of operation, respectively, which resulted in a 9% energy cost reduction
