ผลของอุณหภูมิน้ำดื่มต่อการตอบสนองทางพฤติกรรมและการปรับตัวของแพะเนื้อลูกผสมทรัพย์ มอ.1 ที่ให้นมและไม่ให้นมภายใต้สภาวะความเครียดจากความร้อน

บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการลดอุณหภูมิน้ำดื่มต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงด้านพฤติกรรมของแพะเนื้อลูกผสมทรัพย์ มอ.1 ภายใต้สภาวะความเครียดจากความร้อน วางแผนการทดลองแบบ 2×2 factorial arrangement with repeated measures in a completely randomized design (CRD) ระยะเวลาดำเนินการทดลอง 63 วัน เก็บข้อมูลพฤติกรรมทุก 7 วัน มีแพะเพศเมียจำนวน 8 ตัว แบ่งออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม ๆ ละ 4 ตัว คือ แพะไม่ให้นม 2 ตัวและแพะให้นม 2 ตัว ได้แก่ กลุ่มที่ 1 แพะได้รับน้ำดื่มอุณหภูมิปกติ 26±2 °C และกลุ่มที่ 2 แพะได้รับน้ำดื่มเย็นอุณหภูมิ 21±2 °C เฉพาะในช่วงเวลา 14.00–16.00 น. ภายหลังจากการได้รับความเครียดจากความร้อน 6 ชั่วโมง เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการดื่มน้ำ การลดเวลาในการกินอาหาร การยืนกางขา การนอนยืดเหยียดขา และการส่งเสียงร้องเมื่อเกิดความเครียดจากความร้อน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า อุณหภูมิและความชื้นสัมพัทธ์ตลอด 9 สัปดาห์ส่งผลให้แพะเกิดความเครียดจากความร้อน โดยเฉพาะช่วงเวลา 14.00–16.00 น. ซึ่งเป็นช่วงที่มีค่า THI อยู่ในระดับรุนแรง อุณหภูมิน้ำดื่มมีผลต่อพฤติกรรม โดยแพะที่ได้รับน้ำดื่มเย็นมีปริมาณการดื่มน้ำน้อยกว่า ระยะเวลาการกินอาหารเพิ่มขึ้น และพบอิทธิพลร่วมระหว่างอุณหภูมิน้ำกับสถานะการให้นมต่อพฤติกรรมการกิน โดยแพะให้นมใช้เวลากินอาหารมากกว่าแพะไม่ให้นม (P<0.05) นอกจากนี้ พฤติกรรมการยืนกางขาและการนอนยืดเหยียดขามากขึ้นในกลุ่มแพะให้นมที่ได้รับน้ำเย็น (P<0.05) โดยสรุป แม้ว่าน้ำดื่มเย็นจะทำให้แพะใช้เวลากินอาหารนานขึ้น แต่กลับดื่มน้ำน้อยลง และมีพฤติกรรมยืนกางขาและนอนเหยียดขานานขึ้น ภายใต้ค่า THI สูงในช่วงเวลา 14.00–16.00 น. การให้น้ำดื่มอุณหภูมิปกติจึงเหมาะสมกว่า เนื่องจากไม่กระทบต่อการดื่มน้ำและช่วยลดพฤติกรรมที่เกิดจากความเครียดจากความร้อน ผลการศึกษานี้สามารถใช้เป็นแนวทางในการจัดการอุณหภูมิน้ำดื่ม โดยคำนึงถึงช่วงเวลาและสถานะการให้นมของแพะ เพื่อช่วยลดความเครียดจากความร้อน และส่งเสริมสุขภาพ สวัสดิภาพ และประสิทธิภาพการผลิตภายใต้สภาพแวดล้อมที่มีอุณหภูมิและความชื้นสูง
