The Effects of Storytelling with Role Play Activity Provision to Promote Citizenship in Young Children

The purpose of this study was to examine the outcome of roleplay story-telling activity to promote citizenship in young leaners. The participants of this study consisted of 25 male and female young learners aged from 4 to 5 years, studying in the second semester of kindergarten 2, in the academic year of 2018, at Wat Chaloem PhraKiat School (Phiboon Bamrung), Bang Si Mueang Sub-district, under the govern of Nonthaburi Primary Education Office Area 1. Twelve lesson plans of roleplay story-telling instructional activities and the test of citizenship in young learners were employed as research instruments. Descriptive statistics including mean and standard deviation were computed to analyse the data. The results of the study revealed that young learners who participated in Roleplay story-telling instructional activities had higher test scores of than those who did not participate in the activities.
