Abstract

Sustainable Development is considered an alternative approach or concept which gradually gained more and more attention and become as a global development agenda. In September 25, 2015, the 70th UN General Assembly had approved the agenda of “Transformation our world: The 2030 agenda for sustainable development” with 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For Thailand, Thai Government has adopted the Sustainable Development Agenda and SDGs as a guideline for development according to the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan and the National Strategy. Finally, according to Sustainable Development Report it has been found that Thailand’s development results from SDG Index in 2019, Thailand received 73 out of 100, and was ranked at 40 out of 162 countries, considered No. 1 in ASEAN. In addition, the goal with the best score appeared to be Goal 1: End Poverty; whereas Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure was found to be the goal with the least score.
