Existence of faith Faith of Father Luang Piam Inthasuwanno of the local people, Thung Luang

Abstract

            The present study on existence of faith in Luang Pho Piem Inthasawanno of Thung Luang was conducted to establish in-depth understanding of a remarkable person who unified people in the local and surrounding areas. In the study, both primary and secondary documentation of verbal account and written evidences were collected. In addition, a field study was also conducted to gain in-depth insight from local witness who had been through Lung Pho Pien’s lifetime and experienced the incidents first hand. Besides playing a significant role in local education development, Luang Pho Piem Inthawanno was regarded as an influencer whose speech could its magic in a good way and lead people onto their betterment. According to his fellow disciple from the late Khao Or, Luang Phor Piem had helped a lot of people through his preaching that guided villagers' beliefs, strengthen social institutions, and contributed to the realization of the common good under his leadership. Luang Phor Piam was also found to have influenced the development of Tambon Thung Luang as a historical and spiritual destinations where people from surrounding communities often stop by to pay homage. Because of the faith in Luang Phor Piem, the power and sense of solidarity in the community was created and strengthened. This could be held as a great merit to local community.
