Adjustment of Thai Ensemble Based on Elements of Music Concept

Abstract

 Adjustment of Thai ensemble has been regarded as a Thai music playing form for appreciating and improving music quality. The conductor would be considered adjustment of Thai ensemble guidelines, performance techniques from musicians, quality of instruments, characteristics of ensemble, songs, and playing opportunities. In adjustment of Thai ensemble, it could be considered necessary to rely on various related factors which divided into, first, Internal factors namely, 1.1) elements of music consisting of rhythm, melody, harmony, texture, color, sound characteristics, and form; 1.2) knowledge of theoretical principles related to music such as the genre of Thai music, and types of Thai ensemble; and 1.3) unique techniques, and experience of the conductor. In addition, the second area of factors which considered external factors could be including: 2.1) readiness of musicians; 2.2) readiness of musical instruments; 2.3) readiness of practice place; and 2.4) readiness of budget, educational institutions support, and parents.
