Peer Review Process

Journal Publication Process
Step 1: Submission
The author submits the manuscript through the ThaiJO system.
Step 2: Initial Evaluation (1 week)
The editorial board evaluates the initial quality and scope of the manuscript.
If approved: the journal staff will proceed to check the basic formatting of the manuscript.
If rejected: The manuscript is rejected by the editor/staff (Reject by Editor/Staff) > Inform Authors.
If approved with revisions: The manuscript is sent back to the author for initial revision (Initial Revision) > Resubmitted to Step 1.
Step 3: Assignment of Reviewers
The journal staff assigns the manuscript to peer reviewers for quality evaluation.
Step 4: Review Process and Duration (3 Weeks)
The peer reviewers evaluate the quality of the manuscript (takes 3 weeks).
The editor reviews the evaluation results (takes 7 days).
The editorial decision is classified into 4 cases:
Reject Submission: In the case that the manuscript is rejected by 2 or more reviewers > Inform Authors.
Accept Submission: Approved through the review process without any required corrections > Proceed to Step 5.
Minor Revision: Approved but requires modifications based on the suggestions > The author must revise the manuscript within 30 days (Revised Manuscript) > Sent to the staff to verify the revisions (within 3 days) > Proceed to Step 5.
Major Revision: Approved but requires major revisions and must be sent back to the reviewers for re-evaluation > The author revises the manuscript > Sent back to the reviewers for the 2nd–3rd round of the review process.
Step 5: Final Editor Review (1 Week)
The editor performs the final review of the revised manuscript.
If rejected: The manuscript is rejected (Reject Submission).
If approved with additional revisions: Sent back to the author for further revision (deadline within 1 week) > Resubmitted to the staff and editor for re-verification.
If fully approved (Accept Submission): Officially accepted for publication.
Step 6: Proofreading (1 Week)
Officially notify the author of the final decision and issue the Acceptance Letter > Inform Authors.
Step 7: Typesetting (1 Week)
The journal staff proceeds with the layout formatting, proofreads the layout accuracy, and performs the final quality check of the manuscript prior to publication.
Step 8: Publication of the Manuscript
End of the process. The manuscript is fully published in the YRU Journal of Science and Technology
