Abstract

Genetic diversity of native pigs in the Northeast was studied from 19 native pig hair samples collectedfrom Loei, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan,oSi Saket and Surin provinces by using PCR technique andnucleotide sequencing of cytochrome b gene. A phylogenetic tree was constructed from genetic distance determina-tion according to neighbor-joining method using PHYLIP package program. It was able to divide native pigs in theNortheast into 9 haplotypes according to 43 site nucleotide sequences difference.
