Factors related to the activities of Christian Women Organization in the Upper North of Thailand in community development

Abstract

The purposes of the research were to study the organization background, the factors related and usefullfor community development, the problems in community development under sufficiency economy. Data werecollected from 245 Christian Women Organizations in the Upper North of Thailand through the use ofquestionnaires. Statistical techniques used were percentage, mean, standard deviation and multiple regressionanalysis. From the study, it was found that eight factors related to the the community Development Under theSufficiency Economy were participation in other organization, number of organization’s menbers, number ofparticipate member in all activities, number of development workers, organization management, governmentservice, other organization support and probems in working. From the study, the suggestion give are encouragingmore participation in organization’s activiting, coordination with GO and NGO for getting support in man, material,budget and technique and the problems in community development under sufficiency economy philosophy.
