Factor relating to farmer’s knowledge and behavior about knowledge management in Suphanburi province

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to study 1) demographic characteristics of farmers 2) knowledge of farmers in knowledge management 3) behavior of farmers in knowledge management 4) relationship between demographic characteristics, knowledge and demographic characteristics and behavior of farmers about knowledge management. The sample were 39 leader of farmers in Mueang district and 75 leader of farmers in Nongyasai district. Simple random sampling was used in the study. The tool to collect data was an interview schedule. Statistical analysis were obtain through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and chi-square.The results found thatfarmers’knowledge about knowledge management in Mueang and Nongyasi district was founded that in the high level and the overall of knowledge management behavior in both districts was in the moderate level. Educational level of farmers in Mueang district had the relationship with knowledge management as well as age, educational level, member of family in Mueang district had relationship with knowledge management behavior. Besides, income of farmers in Nongyasai district had relationship with knowledge management behavior at 0.05 and 0.01 level of significance.
