บทคัดย่อ
ดอกเบญจมาศ พันธุ์ Tiger, Pink Westland และ Horelin และดอกคาร์เนชั่น พันธุ์ RedCorso เก็บรักษาที่อุณหภูมิ 4±1° เซลเซียส หลังจากนั้นจึงนำดอกเบญจมาศไปแช่ในสารละลายที่ประกอบด้วย citric acid 75 มก./ลิตร AgNO3 25 มก./ลิตร และน้ำตาลทราย 3.5 เปอร์เซนต์ นาน 24 ชั่วโมง แล้วจึงปักแจกันในน้ำประปา ส่วนดอกคาร์เนชั่นนั้น หลังจากเก็บรักษาแล้วจึงนำไปแช่ในสารละลาย silverthiofate (STS) นำไปปักแจกันในน้ำประปา ปรากฏว่า อายุการปักแจกันของดอกเบญจมาศและคาร์เนชั่นแปรผกผันกับระยะเวลาที่เก็บรักษา สารเคมีทั้งสองชนิดสามารถยืดอายุการปักแจกันของดอกเบญจมาศและคาร์เนชั่นได้เล็กน้อย.
