การศึกษาการใช้ Prostaglandin F_(2∝) (PGF_(2∝)) เพื่อชักนำการเป็นสัดและการแท้งลูกในโค

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาทดลองนี้ทำเพื่อหาระดับของ ที่ต่ำกว่าที่มีข้อกำหนดให้ใช้ทั่วไปสำหรับการชักนำการ เป็นสัดและการแท้งลูกในโคที่มีน้ำหนักน้อย หรือปานกลาง การศึกษาจากการศึกษาสองส่วนปรากฏว่า การฉีด 15 มก/ตัว เข้ากล้ามเนื้อให้แก่โคที่เคยแสดงการเป็นสัดมาแล้ว 8 - 15 วัน และมีน้ำหนักตัวอยู่ระหว่าง 250 - 330 กก. สามารถชักนำให้โดทุกตัวเริ่มแสดงอาการเป็นสัดได้ภายใน 2 - 3 วัน และพบว่าโคบางตัวมีการเป็นสัดผิดปกติไปจากเดิม ขนาด 25 มก/ครั้ง ที่ฉีดซ้ำให้แก่โคอุ้มท้องประมาณ 5 เดือน ไม่มีผลทำให้เกิดการแท้งลูก แต่มีผลทำให้โคที่อุ้มท้องระหว่าง 1.5 - 2 เดือน แท้งลูกได้
